Physical Access

  • Entrance: To enter the building, there is a single step, and we have a temporary ramp that we can set up over that single step. There are also three additional steps immediately inside the front door, to get up to the elevator, and unfortunately the ramp is not really appropriate for those steps, as the incline would be very steep. This remains a real challenge for anyone who cannot manage steps. We are eager to offer any support we can and to hear from people with accessibility needs about what you would need to get over those three steps. We welcome creative solutions!
  • Elevator: There is a freight elevator that we can operate for anyone who needs it. Because operating it requires some familiarity and physical capacity, an event host or trained volunteer will come down to bring you up — and will be available to bring you back down when you leave. Please let us know when you register that you’d like elevator access so we can make sure someone is available, and flag it again when you arrive.
  • Bathrooms: All-gender bathrooms are on the same floor as the studio, with step-free travel between the two. There is a small lip at the bathroom entrance — no steps, but not fully flush — and we’re currently exploring ways to smooth that transition. Bathroom doorways are narrow and not ADA compliant — approximately 30 inches. One stall is significantly larger than the others, though it does not meet full accessibility standards.
  • Scooter & Bicycle Storage: There is an indoor storage area in the lobby where you’re welcome to leave a mobility scooter, bicycle, or similar. Please secure it and note that storage is at your own risk.
