Getting to the Studio
Coil & Cord is located at 200 6th Street, Suite 2B, Brooklyn, NY in Gowanus.
By Subway
We’re close to two nearby subway stations:
- Smith–9 Sts (F, G) — about a 10 minute walk. Head east on 9th Street, then south on 6th Street.
- 4 Av–9 St (F, G, R) — about an 8 minute walk. Head west on 9th Street to 6th Street. The D and N trains also stop here when running locally.
If you’re coming from Manhattan, the F train on 6th Avenue is your most direct option.
By Bus
Several bus routes stop within easy reach of the studio:
- B61 — Runs along 9th Street, a short (4 min) walk from the studio; connects Park Slope, and Downtown Brooklyn via Red Hook.
- B103 — Runs along 3rd Avenue, just steps from the studio; connects Downtown Brooklyn, Kensington, Flatbush, and Canarsie.
- B37 — Also along 3rd Avenue, just steps from the studio; connects Sunset Park and Bay Ridge.
- B57 — A longer walk (about 14 minutes), but worth knowing if you’re coming from South Williamsburg, Bushwick, or Queens.
By Car
Street parking is available on 6th Street as well as on nearby side streets. Gowanus’s industrial character means parking is generally easier here than in neighboring Park Slope or Carroll Gardens — though we recommend giving yourself a few extra minutes on event nights.
By Bike
The closest Citi Bike dock is at 3rd Avenue and 7th Street, one block away. The neighborhood is well-connected for cyclists: there’s a dedicated bike path along 4th Avenue, a bike lane on 3rd Avenue, and bike lanes across the Gowanus Canal bridges at Union Street, 3rd Street, and 9th Street.
